Piloted by the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolis, the Arbois technopôle is the leading technopôle in France dedicated to the environment. It welcomes 12 research units, 90 innovative companies (including around forty start-ups within the nursery #Cleantech), students of the Master Science of the Earth's Environment and the Doctoral School of the Environment of the Aix-Marseille University and the competitiveness centers and Capenergies, Safe and Eco Eco-business.
The Mission of the Technopôle is to support research companies and laboratories located in its territory in the development of knowledge and technologies allowing to gain competitiveness as well as to find solutions to reduce the impact of human activity on the planet.
For this, the Arbois technopole benefits from a multidisciplinary team that works alongside companies and laboratories to promote their collaborations and advise them in their growth.
The Technopôle develops around 2 activity zones over an area of 165 ha, which can accommodate up to 120,000m2 of areas dedicated to research, teaching, start-up incubation and the industrialization of more mature innovative companies working all in the field of the environment.

Piloté par la Métropole Aix-Marseille-Provence, le Technopôle de l’Arbois est le premier Technopôle de France dédié à l’environnement. Il accueille 12 unités de recherche, 90 entreprises innovantes (dont une quarantaine de start-up au sein de la pépinière #Cleantech), les étudiants du Master Science de l’environnement terrestre et de l’école doctorale Science de l’environnement d’Aix-Marseille Université et les Pôles de compétitivité et Cluster Capenergies, SAFE et Ea éco-entreprises.
La mission du Technopôle est d’accompagner les entreprises et laboratoires de recherche implantés sur son territoire dans le développement de savoirs et de technologies permettant aussi bien de gagner en compétitivité, que de trouver des solutions pour réduire l’impact de l’activité de l’Homme sur la Planète.
Pour cela, le Technopôle de l’Arbois bénéficie d’une équipe pluridisciplinaire qui travaille aux côtés des entreprises et laboratoires pour favoriser leurs collaborations et les conseiller dans leur croissance.
Le Technopôle se développe autour de 2 zones d’activité sur une superficie de 165 ha, pouvant accueillir jusqu’à 120 000m2 de surfaces dédiées à la recherche, l’enseignement, l’incubation de start-up et l’industrialisation d’entreprises innovantes plus matures travaillant toutes et tous dans le domaine de l’environnement.
Membre fondateur du réseau des incubateurs du Ministère de l’environnement, le Technopôle de l’Arbois figurait en 2019 au 4ème rang mondial des Technoparks environnementaux derrière celui de Berlin, de Boston ou de Perth.
