It supports all actors in mobility in identifying, production, using open and shared resources. More generally, the association also has the object, in France as abroad, to implement any activity or operation directly or indirectly related to one of the specified objects, or to any other similar or related object, likely to directly or indirectly promote the goals pursued by the association, its extension and its development.

L’Association émane d’un réseau ouvert sans frontière ni barrière à l’entrée, qu’elle renforce et structure.
L’Association s'est fixée comme missions de :
● Contribuer à faire évoluer les pratiques de mobilité à grande échelle au travers des modèles ouverts ;
● Fédérer les acteurs publics et privés du secteur des mobilités dans une culture commune d’innovation ouverte ;
● Favoriser l’émergence de ressources ouvertes et pérennes dans le domaine de la mobilité ;
● Encourager la diffusion du modèle « Fab Mob » au-delà du secteur des mobilités et à l’étranger.
L’Association a notamment vocation à animer des programmes d’innovation, des événements, des formations et à porter des projets innovants, en matière de mobilités durables. Elle accompagne tous acteurs de la mobilité dans l’identification, la production, l’utilisation de ressources ouvertes et mutualisées. Plus généralement, l’Association a aussi pour objet, en France comme à l’étranger, de mettre en œuvre toute activité ou opération se rattachant directement ou indirectement à l'un des objets spécifiés, ou à tout autre objet similaire ou connexe, de nature à favoriser directement ou indirectement les buts poursuivis par l'Association, son extension et son développement.
