C’est en 1993 que Thierry Roche, architecte et urbaniste diplômé de l’Ecole Nationale d’Architecture de Lyon, donne vie à son atelier éponyme. 20 ans plus tard, la société adopte son nom actuel « Atelier Thierry Roche & Associés ». David Godard et Sébastien Lepoire, tous deux architectes dans la société, poursuivent l’aventure aux côtés de Thierry Roche en tant que collaborateurs décisionnaires. Ensemble, ils œuvrent pour inscrire dans le temps et partager avec le plus grand nombre une autre vision de l’architecture, impulsée à l’Atelier fin des années 90. La société regroupe aujourd’hui 19 co-créateurs de lieux d’équilibre inspirés du quotidien de celles et ceux qui les font vivre : l’humain (approché en tant qu’habitant usager) est continuellement au cœur de leurs réflexions et de leurs préoccupations. En 2023, l’entreprise a réuni ses deux ateliers (Tassin-La-Demi-Lune et Saint-Priest), en un seul lieu à Confluence : Zadiga cité.
