Créé en septembre 2007, le think tank Sport et Citoyenneté entend promouvoir les valeurs du sport et militer pour leur meilleure implantation dans la société.
A la fois lieu de réflexion, force de proposition et plateforme de référence pour les pouvoirs publics nationaux et européens, Sport et Citoyenneté a pour objectif d'aboutir, par une réflexion transversale et pluridisciplinaire, à un échange d'idées, à une analyse des différentes politiques et à une mise en réseau des acteurs engagés sur ces questions.
L'association s'appuie sur un comité scientifique composé de plus d'une cinquantaine d'experts, français et européens. Tous les trois mois, la revue scientifique de Sport et Citoyenneté initie le débat et la réflexion et confronte le sport à un grand thème de société.
Sport et Citoyenneté organise et participe également à différentes tables rondes et colloques en Europe autour de la citoyenneté par le sport.
