The Institut d’art contemporain (IAC) is an instrument for creation, experimentation, and research in contemporary art.
In situ, in 1,200 m2 of dedicated space, it develops exhibitions and encounters, as well as maintaining a collection of works of international scope.
Ex situ, it extends its activities by exhibiting its collection throughout the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, as well as on the national and international level.
IAC is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Communication (DRAC Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region and the City of Villeurbanne.

Outil de création, d’expérimentation et de recherche pour l’art actuel, l’Institut d’art contemporain (IAC) développe in situ (1 200 m2), une activité d’expositions et de rencontres combinée à la constitution d’une collection d’œuvres au rayonnement international.
Il prolonge ses activités de recherche, ex situ, par la diffusion de sa collection dans l’ensemble de la région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, ainsi qu’au niveau national et international.
L'IAC bénéficie du soutien du Ministère de la culture et de la communication (DRAC Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), de la Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes et de la Ville de Villeurbanne.
