A recognized public utility institution, with a Board of Directors composed mainly of lawyers, but also of magistrates and designated academics, ERAGE began its activity in January 2006.
The school is the result of the grouping of the Regional Centers for Professional Training of Lawyers of Strasbourg, Dijon, Besançon, Reims, Nancy and Metz.
Initial Training:
Nearly 150 new student lawyers are welcomed at ERAGE each year, holders of a Master I in Law and very often a Master II. Entry to the law school requires obtaining an exam organized by the Universities. The studies last 18 months. At the end of this training, the student lawyer must successfully pass the exit exam in order to obtain the Certificate of Aptitude for the Profession of Lawyer (CAPA). He will then take an oath before a Court of Appeal and will then be able to practice the profession of lawyer by registering with a Bar.
Continuing Education:
Lawyers are subject to a continuing education obligation of 20 hours per year. In order to meet the expectations of more than 4,000 lawyers in its jurisdiction, ERAGE has 6 delegations based in the Grand Est region that offer local and quality Continuing Education. ERAGE organizes nearly 200 training sessions throughout the year, allowing lawyers to update and deepen their knowledge or discover new areas of law.

École d’avocats
Etablissement reconnu d'utilité publique, doté d'un Conseil d'Administration composé essentiellement d'avocats, mais aussi de magistrats et d'universitaires désignés, l’ERAGE a commencé son activité en janvier 2006.
L'école est issue du regroupement des Centres Régionaux de Formation Professionnelle des Avocats de Strasbourg, Dijon, Besançon, Reims, Nancy et Metz.
Formation Initiale :
Près de 150 nouveaux élèves avocats sont accueillis à l'ERAGE chaque année, titulaires d'un Master I en Droit et bien souvent d'un Master II. L'entrée à l'école des avocats nécessite l'obtention d'un examen organisé par les Universités. Les études durent 18 mois. À l'issue de cette formation, l'élève avocat doit passer avec succès l'examen de sortie en vue de l'obtention du Certificat d'Aptitude à la Profession d'Avocat (CAPA). Il prêtera alors serment devant une Cour d'Appel et pourra ensuite exercer la profession d'avocat en s'inscrivant dans un Barreau.
Formation Continue :
Les avocats sont soumis à une obligation de formation continue de 20 heures par an. Afin de répondre aux attentes au plus de 4 000 avocats de son ressort, L’ERAGE dispose de 6 délégations basées dans le Grand Est qui proposent une Formation Continue de proximité et de qualité. L'ERAGE organise près de 200 sessions de formation tout au long de l’année, permettant aux avocats d'actualiser et d’approfondir leurs connaissances ou de découvrir de nouveaux domaines du droit.
