Head and neck cancers are little known and yet they are the 4th most common cancer location in France. For young patients or people with a healthy lifestyle, diagnosis is often late, limiting the chances of recovery and requiring heavy treatments.
When remission is possible, patients must also often learn to live with serious functional and aesthetic after-effects.
Corasso is a young association of patients with cancer, or rare cancers, of the head or neck. Its missions:
- Provide support in the face of difficulties, particularly social, related to the alteration of appearance and/or voice but also in the face of the isolation of patients by creating spaces for discussion and sharing;
- Inform and direct patients to the medical devices, protocols and caregivers best able to respond to the specific issues related to this type of cancer;
- Raise awareness among the general public to change the way people view this type of cancer;
- Raise funds for research.

Les cancers tête et cou sont peu connus et pourtant il s’agit de la 4ème localisation de cancers en France. Pour les jeunes patient.e.s ou les personnes ayant une hygiène de vie saine, le diagnostic est souvent tardif, limitant les chances de guérison et nécessitant des traitements lourds.
Lorsque la rémission est possible, les patient·e·s doivent en outre souvent apprendre à vivre avec de graves séquelles fonctionnelles et esthétiques.
Corasso est une jeune association de patients atteints de cancers, ou de cancers rares, de la tête ou du cou. Ses missions :
- Soutenir face aux difficultés, notamment sociales, liées à l’altération de l’apparence et/ou de la voix mais aussi face à l’isolement des patient·e·s en créant des espaces de parole et de partage ;
- Informer et orienter les patient·e·s vers les dispositifs médicaux, protocoles et soignant·e·s les plus à même de répondre aux problématiques spécifiques liées à ce type de cancer ;
- Sensibiliser le grand public pour faire évoluer le regard porté sur ce type de cancer ;
- Collecter des fonds pour la recherche.
