Modev was started in 2008 as the ModevDC Meetup group in Washington, D.C. by Pete Erickson. After a few events, it was clear that the demand for learning and mutual collaboration in tech space is much higher than a Meetup group can cater. Modev has established several individual chapters as well as full blown conference series like Voice and EXO Summits.
