Being an International Volunteer means going on a professional mission abroad on behalf of a company under French law or a public body.
The V.I is placed under the supervision of the French Embassy.
From 6 to 24 months, the missions are carried out:
- in a company,
- within a French structure, public or para-public, under the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and International Development or the DG Treasury.
- in a local foreign public structure.
- with international organizations or approved associations.
V.Is receive a monthly flat-rate allowance, which varies depending on the country of assignment, but is independent of the level of qualification.
International Volunteering is an enriching professional experience, a real springboard for an international career.
All professions are concerned:
- in business: finance, marketing, international trade, management control, accounting, mechanics, electronics, telecommunications, IT, construction, agronomy, tourism, law, human resources, etc.
- in administration: cultural activities, teaching, economic, commercial or scientific monitoring, IT, political science, law, economics, research, etc.

Candidates must be between 18 and 28 years old, be EEA nationals, and be in compliance with the country's national service obligations.

Etre Volontaire International, c’est partir effectuer une mission professionnelle à l'étranger pour le compte d'une entreprise de droit français ou d'un organisme public.
Le V.I est placé sous la tutelle de l’Ambassade de France.
De 6 à 24 mois, les missions s’effectuent :
- en entreprise,
- au sein d’une structure française, publique ou para-publique, relevant du Ministère de l'Europe et des Affaires Etrangères et du Développement International ou de la DG Trésor.
- dans une structure publique locale étrangère.
- auprès d’organisations internationales ou d’associations agréées.
Les V.I perçoivent mensuellement une indemnité forfaitaire, variable suivant le pays d’affectation, mais indépendante du niveau de qualification.
Le Volontariat International est une expérience professionnelle enrichissante, véritable tremplin pour une carrière internationale.
Tous les métiers sont concernés:
- en entreprise : finances, marketing, commerce international, contrôle de gestion, comptabilité, mécanique, électronique, télécommunications, informatique, BTP, agronomie, tourisme, droit, ressources humaines...
- en administration : animation culturelle, enseignement, veille Ă©conomique, commerciale ou scientifique, informatique, sciences politiques, droit, Ă©conomie, recherche...
L'​ inscription sur https://www.mon-vie-via.businessfrance.fr permet d'accéder et de postuler aux offres de mission publiées par les structures pouvant recruter des V.I (entreprises françaises, MEAE et DG Trésor).
Les candidats doivent avoir entre 18 et 28 ans, être ressortissants de l'EEE, et être en règle avec les obligations de service national du pays.
