Description
  • Value proposition

Creating awareness and resources to prevent and treat pet obesity.

Founded in 2005, the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention (APOP) is dedicated to developing resources to aid in the prevention and treatment of pet obesity.

We help veterinary professionals, pet parents, and the pet industry by conducting obesity prevalence research, promoting obesity and weight loss interventions, encouraging diagnostic innovations, and creating pet nutrition communication tools.

Our goal is to better understand the causes and contributors of pet obesity, prevent weight-related disorders in dogs and cats, extend longevity and enhance quality of life for the pets we serve.
