La Communauté de Communes de Montesquieu, c’est un territoire dynamique, attractif et en plein essor idéalement situé aux portes de la Métropole bordelaise, au cœur des vignobles Graves et Pessac-Léognan, à la limite de la forêt des Landes et bordée par la Garonne, la Communauté de Communes offre à ses usagers un cadre de vie et d’activité de qualité.
La Communauté de Communes de Montesquieu c’est aussi :
- 43 000 habitants et 2 800 entreprises implantées (dont 100 sur la Technopole Bordeaux Montesquieu),
- 7 structures multi-accueil et 2 déchèteries gérées,
- 300 km de cours d’eau et 21 km de voiries d’intérêt communautaire entretenus.
En 2002, les 13 communes du canton de La Brède se sont regroupées pour former une intercommunalité : la Communauté de Communes de Montesquieu. Le concept de l’intercommunalité est de faire à plusieurs ce qu’il n’est pas possible de faire seul. Parce qu’à plusieurs on est plus fort, on pèse davantage auprès de nos partenaires et on mutualise des moyens et des ressources financières pour assurer un niveau de service public plus élevé, dans l’intérêt de tous.
