Suite à la fusion avec le CFPE, Droit d'Enfance prend également la responsabilité et la gestion du numéro d'urgence européen 116 000 dédié aux familles de mineurs disparus et accompagne les familles victimes de ces disparitions. Les juristes et psychologues du 116000 ont ainsi pour mission d’écouter et d’aider les personnes qui sollicitent le numéro d’urgence, que ce soit dans le cadre de fugues, d’enlèvements parentaux en France ou à l’étranger et de disparitions inquiétantes de mineurs. 1200 familles sont ainsi accompagnées chaque année, de la disparition de l’enfant jusqu’à son retour.
Face à l’ampleur de ce drame, Droit d’Enfance s’engage pour augmenter la notoriété du 116 000 et venir en aide aux familles qui sont confrontés à la disparition de leur enfant.
Enfin, depuis octobre 2018, Droit d'Enfance devient officiellement représentant en France du Service Social International (SSI) : organisation internationale non gouvernementale qui soutient les enfants et les familles confrontés à des problèmes sociaux complexes liés à la migration.
