    Started by the Région Hauts-de-France in collaboration with Les Rencontres d'Arles, the Institut pour la photographie is a new resource centre, for dissemination, dialogue and experimentation in order to develop the photographic culture within the general public and to support research and creation. Its programme is based on synergy between five main lines : exhibitions, conservation of photographer's archive, education, edition and a grant programme for new projects. Situated at the crossroads of Europe, this new structure forms part of an inclusive approach stemming from initiatives and local expertise with an international ambition.

    Initié par la Région Hauts-de-France en collaboration avec les Rencontres d'Arles, l'Institut pour la photographie est un nouveau lieu de ressources, de diffusions, d'échanges et d'expérimentations afin de développer la culture photographique au plus grand nombre et de soutenir la recherche et la création. Son programme est fondé sur la complémentarité de cinq axes principaux : les expositions, la conservation des fonds d'archives de photographes, la transmission, l'édition et un programme de bourses pour des projets inédits. Au carrefour de l'Europe, cette nouvelle institution s'inscrit dans une approche fédératrice des initiatives et des expertises locales avec une ambition internationale.
