Divertimento propose une programmation riche qui met en regard les grandes œuvres du répertoire avec les musiques d’autres cultures, notamment méditerranéennes, ou même d’autres formes d’expressions, aussi bien artistiques que sportives. Une ouverture qui permet de rassembler différents publics et de faire découvrir à chacun la force émotionnelle de l’orchestre symphonique. Derrière ce projet unique, il y a toute l’énergie et la conviction d’une cheffe d’orchestre : Zahia Ziouani.
Divertimento est né d’une rencontre qui déjoue tous les préjugés : celle de la musique classique, jugée bien vite élitiste, avec le public de la Seine-Saint-Denis, trop souvent laissé en marge.
Aujourd’hui, le rayonnement de Divertimento dépasse largement son territoire d’origine : les musiciens sont invités dans toute la France. On a pu les applaudir à La Philharmonie de Paris, au Théâtre du Rond-Point, au Festival Berlioz etc. Ce parcours prestigieux se double d’actions dans les régions pour aller à la rencontre des publics laissés à l’écart de la musique symphonique.
Parce que l’action de l’orchestre s’inscrit dans la durée, Divertimento s’engage auprès des jeunes musiciens, notamment à travers la création de l’Académie Divertimento qui soutient la pratique artistique partout en France. Partager avec les jeunes la joie profonde de la musique symphonique mais aussi le dépassement de soi dans un collectif qu’exige l’orchestre, c’est toute l’ambition pédagogique de Divertimento.
