Die Digitalstadt Darmstadt GmbH ist eine hundertprozentige Tochter der Wissenschaftsstadt Darmstadt. Die Gründung geht auf den Gewinn des Wettbewerbs „Digitale Stadt" des IT-Branchenverbandes Bitkom und des Deutschen Städte- und Gemeindebunds (DStGB) vom 12. Juni 2017 zurück.
