MAI À VÉLO est un collectif d’institutions du monde du vélo, initié par le Ministère de la Transition écologique et le Ministère des sports au printemps 2020, en réponse à l’augmentation inédite de la pratique du vélo, tous modes confondus, enregistrée sur l’ensemble du territoire.
Il s’inscrit dans la continuité des événements existants, tels que la Fête du vélo, événements portés par plusieurs institutions constituant la nouvelle coordination nationale de Mai à vélo.
Notre ambition est d’amplifier cette dynamique cyclable, mais surtout de l’inscrire dans la durée, auprès du plus grand nombre, partout en France.
Pour cela, nous souhaitons valoriser toutes les actions que nombre d’entre vous ont déjà mises en place, mais aussi inciter et aider de nouvelles entités à se lancer. Nous vous proposons donc d’organiser localement, avec les moyens qui sont les vôtres, cette Fête nationale, qui durera tout le long du mois de mai, à travers, des événements cyclables, pédagogiques et populaires, et pour lesquels vous pourrez bénéficier de notre soutien en termes de communication et de mobilisation.
