Liquid Ventilation for Life
Orixha's mission is to save the patients's lifes in critical care through liquid ventilation.
Orixha is developing the Vent2Cool medical device to almost immediately protect the vital organs, in particular the brain and heart, of patients resuscitated after cardiac arrest and thus significantly reduce mortality and morbidity. Vent2Cool turns the lungs into a heat exchanger with the blood compartment. This makes it possible to induce ultra-rapid therapeutic hypothermia in minutes where current hypothermia solutions take hours to reach the target temperature of 33°C.Original language

La mission d'Orixha est de sauver la vie de patients en soins intensifs grâce à la ventilation liquidienne.
Orixha développe le dispositif médical Vent2Cool pour protéger de façon quasi-immédiate les organes vitaux, notamment le cerveau et le cœur, des patients réanimés post arrêt cardiaque et ainsi réduire significativement la mortalité et la morbidité. Vent2Cool transforme les poumons en échangeur thermique avec le compartiment sanguin. Ceci permet d’induire une hypothermie thérapeutique ultra-rapide en quelque minutes là où les solutions actuelles d’hypothermie mettent des heures avant d’atteindre la température cible de 33° C.
