New technologies and digitalization are now affecting all areas of social and economic life. Topics such as digitalization & equal opportunities; digitalization & education, digitalization in cities (#smartcity), communities and companies dominate the headlines. Curse or blessing? The Corona crisis has shown the dependencies of our seamlessly networked economy - the opportunities, risks and unforeseen consequences are answered differently. The fact is that we are all part of and participants in this new data-driven economy; and we should all deal with that. The Davos Digital Forum addresses the most diverse facets of digitalization and has been showing since 2018 as a national + international "Think Tank & Hands-On" event how digitalization can be implemented in practice. Topics such as "data strategies + networking" play just as important a role as "communication + participation" and "mobility + logistics". With the Academic Track, we are also creating a platform on which students and lecturers can present their findings on digital topics. With our partners from business, culture and science, we have set ourselves the goal of addressing current digital topics and offering practical and future-oriented solutions.

Neue Technologien und Digitalisierung greifen mittlerweile in alle Bereiche des gesellschaftlichen und wirtschaftlichen Lebens ein. Themen wie Digitalisierung & Chancengleichheit; Digitalisierung & Bildung, Digitalisierung in Städten (#smartcity), Gemeinden und Unternehmen beherrschen die Schlagzeilen. Fluch oder Segen? Die Corona Krise hat die Abhängigkeiten unserer lückenlos vernetzten Wirtschaft gezeigt - die Chancen, Risiken und ungeahnten Konsequenzen werden unterschiedlich beantwortet. Fakt ist, dass wir alle Teil und Teilnehmer dieser neuen datengetriebenen Wirtschaft sind; und damit sollten wir uns alle auseinandersetzen. Das Davos Digital Forum greift die unterschiedlichsten Facetten der Digitalisierung auf und zeigt seit 2018 als nationaler + internationaler «Think Tank & Hands-On» Event, wie sich die Digitalisierung in der Praxis umsetzen lässt. Dabei spielen Themen wie «Daten-Strategien + Vernetzung» genauso eine wichtige Rolle wie «Kommunikation + Partizipation», «Mobilität +Logistik». Mit dem Academic Track schaffen wir zudem eine Plattform, auf welcher Studierende und Dozierende ihre Erkenntnisse zu digitalen Themen präsentieren können. Mit unseren Partnern aus Wirtschaft, Kultur und Wissenschaft haben uns zum Ziel gesetzt, aktuelle digitale Themen aufzugreifen und praktische und zukunftsweisende Lösungen anzubieten.
